Health & Safety Officers shut your eyes now. The scene looks chaotic and dangerous. It is, but perhaps not as much as it looks here. Perhaps that is typical of what we find here in Kisiizi.
For 4 weeks different groups of about 20 students went in the hospital pick-up truck to the different villages around the hospital as part of their village survey. The roads are unmade, and bumpy and extremely dusty – thus the hair scarves. Wanda and 2 others were to squeeze into the front of the pick-up. This means of transport is ubiquitous around here. The team was led by an able local government Environmental Health Officer, with Wanda assisting.
