Such a pretty church. Ancient building, magnificent brasses, attractive location, in a lovely flint walled village. All this – a burden instead of a blessing? Glad to say the ancient faith of the English was still very much alive in the modest sized congregation we visited on 14th October. What would a Ugandan made of all the brasses, on the floor, the grand tomb in the church, the ancient helmets mounted on the sanctuary walls? (more…)
