As one gets larger, the opportunities and the problems get more sophisticated. This is what’s happening to Kisiizi nowadays. Its greater stature brings new links, now with Liverpool, Basingstoke, Chester and Reading. And greater problems, frauds discovered as the new medical records system gets rolled out and the accounts get more examined.

Wanda was a nurse tutor in Uganda. But learning is a self discipline, both professionally as well as spiritually. Wanda reflected on her learning as a tutor and wrote about it. With Janice Gidman, Senior teaching Fellow of the University of Chester, this became an article which is now appearing in the current British Journal of Community Nursing (Vol 16, No 4). OK – so you know of Bill and Wanda. But what of the Hospital? The work? The people? Well, here’s some more news.
News from the Nursing School. “We had 43 new students arrive last month, which has kept us quite busy. They are cheerful and keen. We are starting a new and quite complex syllabus which is keeping us on our toes, but the education authorities think it is the best system for training health workers in Uganda, and it has much to commend it.
